Easter, one of the most meaningful times in the Christian calendar, is on the horizon! At Dream City Church, we look forward to this season every year as a chance to reflect deeply on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ while gathering together in worship, joy, and community. It falls on the first week of April this year, and though we are still putting the finishing touches on our plans, we want you to mark your calendar now for a full week of special moments designed to draw us closer to Him and to one another.
A Week of Celebration
This Easter, we are preparing a series of services and activities that honor the heart of the holiday. On Good Friday, join us for a solemn yet hopeful service remembering the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross. It is a powerful time to pause and consider the depth of God’s love poured out for us.
Then, as the sun rises on Easter Sunday, we will gather for a beautiful sunrise service. There is something special about starting Resurrection Day in the early morning light, praising the One who conquered death and offers new life to all who believe. Throughout the morning, our regular Easter services will follow, filled with uplifting worship, a clear message from God’s Word, and the shared excitement of celebrating our risen Savior.
For families, we have an epic Egg Hunt planned as part of our kids’ events. Children will have a blast searching for eggs, enjoying games, and experiencing the fun side of the season in a safe, welcoming environment. These moments create lasting memories while pointing young hearts toward the true reason we celebrate.
He is Risen!
Easter reminds us of the greatest victory in history. Jesus did not stay in the grave; He rose, just as He promised. As 1 Corinthians 15:55-57 declares,
”Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting? The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
These words bring such comfort and strength. No matter what challenges we face, the resurrection assures us that life in Christ overcomes everything.
In this season of renewal, we also hold fast to the promise in Romans 6:4:
“We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
Easter invites us to embrace that new life fully — to let go of the old and walk in the freedom and purpose He provides. It is a chance to renew our commitment to living for Christ, loving others, and sharing the hope we have found.
