It is with profound sorrow and heavy hearts that we at Dream City Church mourn the unthinkable and senseless murder or our dear friend and partner in ministry Charlie Kirk. He was a passionate advocate and a leading voice for faith, freedom, and biblical truth—a guiding force for a generation seeking clarity in a complex world.
Charlie’s presence at our church was less about politics—it was about purpose. Through his leadership at Turning Point USA and Turning Point Faith, Charlie inspired millions to stand firm in their biblical convictions and live out their faith with courage.
A dream was birthed four years ago between Pastor Luke Barnett and Charlie Kirk as Freedom Night in America was launched at Dream City Church. His countless contributions through Freedom Night in America gatherings were transformative, blending civic engagement with spiritual awakening in a way that resonated deeply with our congregation and beyond.
His life was a testament to bold leadership, unwavering conviction, and a heart for revival. Charlie’s voice may be silenced, but his legacy will continue to echo through the lives he touched and the truths that he championed.
On behalf of the entire Dream City Church family, our hearts go out to Charlie’s beloved wife, Erika, his children, and the Turning Point community. We are holding them close in prayer and standing with them in this time of unimaginable grief.

He stood on Truth and stated facts A beloved friend was he I’m truly saddened today not only for his beautiful wife and 2 children, but for the world loosing an honest man filled with Love and fear of the Lord. I sincerely hope you will prayerfully seek the Lord in this scripture and command Charlie to be raised in the name of Jesus. My prayers are with you.
I didn’t know Charlie, but I’ve watched and listened to him for the last 10 years. Even more than his words, his actions revealed that he loved people by trying to connect them with truth as he saw it, including God’s truth. On this beautiful, bright sunny day among his biggest fans at the peak of his career, the Lord chose to take Charlie while doing what he loved best. The means was terrible but is there ever a good way to leave this world and one’s loved ones behind? After grieving with the rest of our nation, I can think of only one fitting eulogy. It’s from Psalms and reminds me how Charlie lived: “Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul. While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.” (Psalm 146:1–2) . . . For the rest of us, I say, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1); and “Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18); and especially the Lord’s words in Matthew: “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; that ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust” (Mathew 5: 43–45). Charlie loved to encourage his friends, but he lived to change his enemies one conversation at a time. So, smile, thank the Lord for Charlie, and pray for those who hate us. They know not what they do.
Well said Sir! I was praying this morning for his family and immediately the Holy Spirit began to encourage me to pray for the. An/woman who committed this genius act of violence- and I found myself praying for that one person who God has ordained before the beginning of time that will have the opportunity to speak life to this person- and I will continue to pray for that person that they hear God, and they move with the Holy Spirit as he directs when he directs! As this is truly the message of the Gospel love and forgiveness.

Charlie was definitely one who made the world a better place. He presented and stood on Biblical facts and the evil that took place yesterday will not endure. I’m an orthodox from Romania and I’m deeply saddened by Charlie’s disappearance. I pray to our Lord, Jesus Christ, to rest his soul in peace and to bring comfort and relief to the grieving family. and to all his beloved ones.
For me, people like Charlie, like Martin Luther King, like Abraham Lincoln and like many others like them are a precious gift from God not only for America but for the whole world. Because they didn’t only speak words. They sealed what they spoke with their own blood. The same way Christ did. And they gave us hope, they gave us a glimpse of humanity.

I believe Charlie was doing what the Lord put him on earth to do and, he did it. Time on earth too short? We left behind think so. God has a plan as painful as some things may be here on earth. We are in a spiritual battle and Charlie was a warrior no matter what the odds against him. Charlie knew who he belonged to. To be a warrior, one must be courageous and focus one’s eyes above. I did not know Charlie Kirk. I listened to him and heard his heart. We may not understand why this happened to this saint of a man or what good can or will come from this tragedy. I trust God will show us if we listen and obey. Hopefully this will be a second chance for America and the world to get it right or at least take the first step. Begin by letting the Lord in the door. Live with JOY – Jesus, others, then yourself. This is one of the greatest chances for the followers of Jesus to unite and die to self to impact the world. Jesus is watching. My heart goes out to the Kirk family and friends and, especially his wife and children. There will never be another Charlie but, we can implement what he taught us. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with Charlie’s wife, children, family,turning point, and friends. I know he is with God . Though I am much older then Charlie. Like Charlie I grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. He Wheeling and myself in Schaumburg. We both attended Harper College. I also did complete my schooling at Harper College.
At age 18 I was a member of the young republicans. I was assistant precinct captain for my district in Schaumburg. Though my future in the Republican party was bright my alcohol use disorder took over my life. I walk away from God. I ended up aspirating on blood past out my bathroom floor. When God intervened and gave me a second chance to live a better life. I moved to Seattle. God lead me to work with people who suffer from substance use disorder. When I retired three years ago I moved to Arizona. I left the field which is was the ministry God me to. I left because the field is control by the woke. When Trump announce he was running again. I learned about Charlie kirk. Listening to Charlie I learned I was coward for running away. I have since asked God help start my ministry to continue help people suffering from substance Use disorder. I would like be when notified of when his funeral is.

While I did not know him personally, Charlie was a brother in Christ. I know without a doubt in my mind that Charlie is home with his Lord and Savior. Only God knows why he was called home in such a horrific way. Charlie’s legacy will live on in the hearts and minds he touched. His boldness to speak Biblical truth , his strength and courage , and his mission to witness to our youth is a testament to his passion. His God given gifts and how he used them left us in awe and amazement. He provided hope and purpose to so many young people who had previously known only indoctrination. We will be grateful for the time the Lord gave us with him. May his message continue to grow and reach as many as possible.
Today I prayed for his young family. God will continue to keep his hand over them, and provide comfort during this most difficult time. I prayed for the church, and I prayed for this nation. As believers, though we don’t know the hour or day that Christ will return for us, we know that time is short.
I also prayed for the shooter. This person clearly has never been touched by the love of Christ. I prayed for those who continue to hate and persecute Christians, here, and worldwide. I prayed that their eyes would be opened, their hearts softened, and they repent. I prayed for continued revival in this nation. I prayed for our leaders, especially those who rejoice in wickedness and reject God’s truth. I believe in my heart that is what Charlie would have wished for.

Charlie was exceedingly strong and courageous. He went into places where he wasn’t always welcome to share the word and to give people of all walks of life a chance to be heard. He was always so respectful in allowing the opposition to speak before he would kindly speak his rebuttal. He was truly an amazing man of God. He will be greatly missed, but a light that bright doesn’t just get extinguished. His words remain and people will continue Charlie’s mission. Without a doubt, he heard ‘Well done thy good and faithful servant.’

I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Charlie I am sending prayers for his family, his fellow friends within the congregation and all that knew him.
I am from the UK and wanted to follow in the way of Christ as Charlie has displayed through his work and being of service. I am a child of Christ by heart and was lost because of some tragic events that crossed my path and it took me away from the path and trying to make my way back. Our Church was disgraced by a man who claimed to be the word of God yet hurt the little children so I cannot bare to attend a church physically because I still have trauma. I am seeking guidance and want to do better because Charlie led the way in a world that is suffering under the hands of evil.
Can you recommend a Bible that I could go to so I can start to rebuild my relationship with Christ.

Charlie was such a role model for me. I’m 23 years old, a Youth Minister, and an American. His videos gave me great insight and I always admired how God used him to speak and to be bold. It hurts a lot to know he’s gone and what he’s leaving behind. That was a really special man. Praying continually for the family.

So very heartbreaking for his family and all of us – his Christian family. The only thing that makes me smile is to know that Charlie has never been more alive than he is right now. Thank you Jesus for conquering death with LIFE EVERLASTING!!!
I did not know him personally but by the Spirit and when my wife said that he had been shot the Spirit of Intercession hit me and I began to pray and weep which has occurred now for 2 days. Those who knew him said he was a kind gentle man who loved people. The Lord showed me back in the 1980s that because of abortion, the spirit of murder had been loosed in America and we are seeing that increase every single day with more and more violence and murder. Jesus said that His return would be like “the days of Noah” and “the days of Sodom.” The Bible says of those days “And God saw the wickedness of man and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually,” (Genesis 6:5) and that “violence filled the earth” (Genesis 6:11). Jesus also said in Matthew 24:9, “Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted and shall kill you and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.” The only good news to come out of this is to make people know that the Lord is returning SOON! And I mean soon! My wife and I have been in ministry all of our lives but never until the last 5 years have we felt an urgency to get everyone we know and meet into the ARK (Jesus Christ).

Being an Arizona resident, I’ve been proud to share this state with such a man as Charlie. That’s routinely my #1 brag. Being a 37yr old guy with 3 daughters, and having recently lost my own father a month ago, this news hits hard to us all. I’m sad to think how much more he could’ve done – with the brilliance, kindness & devotion he had. Makes you realize how temporary this life really is. Not sure whether to feel sadness or hate. Our church was in the last day of a revival meeting on Wednesday 9-10-25, and we paused to pray for Charlie’s family and friends.

It’s been 3 days and the mourning continues. People on my social media are posting saying, “Why am I feeling so much pain from a man I never met?”. I thought about it and understood. He did something Jesus called us to do. He wanted to change America back to a Christian country. With every statement, debate, and conversation, he praised the Lord. We have seen evil all around us, but that day it took away our brother in Christ, a family member we all loved dearly. He spoke the truth. So did Jesus. We got a glimpse in our reality of how far evil will go to silence the truth. This is where we must stand strong, stay true to the word, and show the evil that it can never defeat God’s children. Many have never physically met him, but our souls knew him.

Charlie had a huge impact on my life personally, even though I never got to meet him which was a goal of mine. I was the first in my family to discover him on Facebook and I’ve been following him since he first started posting on social media. At that time I was in the Navy. He was the main person I looked to as the voice of my generation and certainly a role model for what a true man of God looks like. The true image of what it looks like to live as an Imitator of Christ. I just moved to Florida from Phoenix back in February but your main Phoenix campus was right in my back yard as I was just on Captain Dreyfus Ave and 40th ST. My in laws kept trying to get me to go to your church and was stubborn enough to stick with the church I was already attending until I learned Charlie was regularly involved with this campus. My in laws , where heavily involved with this church including your Christmas Special. My point is that Charlie’s death has hit so close to home with me that I’m left wanting to step up and be a part of the fight. However, I know I need to properly educate myself fully and I remember him saying on several occasions he learns because he reads. Can you please email me or make a public post somewhere with Charlie’s reading list so that I and many others may educate ourselves the same way Charlie did? This way we may gain a lot of the knowledge he had without being misled by all these inaccurate forms of curriculum. Please and thank you k you!

I do not know how to say how devastated I am over Charlie Kirk’s death. I did not follow him on line. I just saw a few of his videos. I understood his answers to so many questions. I never saw him with an angry face, he always had a smile. He was the most respectful man I had ever seen. I had wished I could have met him in person. I had a few questions for him myself. I life touched me and I cried and could not sleep the night he was killed. I was filled with angry and hatred for the killer and all who have tried to defame him after his death. I have watched many conservative news shows and have heard how Charlie would not want that. I ask for prayers to strengthen my heart and soul to be as Charlie has shown me to be. Charlie ‘s death sparks “Revival across the world” to live and die for our Lord Jesus Christ. Charlie’s death marks a Step stone or a Corner stone for a “Revival across the entire nation and World”. Wow! I need to have courage and boldness as an ex-gay I lived in hiding but people say I need to stand up and speak up. I lived in fear because when my ex and I broke up after becoming Christians we lived in fear cause we got attack by the gay church we were with. The pastor at the time had graduated from Oral Robert’s University. After heavy child abuse and being bullied in school my later years are caught up in fear. I live like a hermit because I have not had the support from the churches here like I did in California. We had attended Cathedral of Faith where got led us to other ex-gays who were Christian’s longer than us. Later my ex-married a man and they spent years on the worship team even joining and traveling in Christian worship competions. But I have spent time for the past two days praying for courage and boldness because the gay community is like a cult they teach others you cannot change and they are bound with the spirit of rage and anger. Don’t fool your self I took churches into the Castro district in San Francisco and the police were called. They were outrage that we came into their territory and I grew up in a violent home and live in fear but now it’s time to fight the enemy to be bold and speak out. Thank you Charlie I wish I could have sat down to talk to you. I’m praying for the family and especially the children.
Didn’t know much about Charlie Kirk, but learning about him was an honor an a privilege. As a Christian myself I’m applaud at the violence of this tragic act. The Word of God states we need to sigh and cry against the abomination s of this world. (Ezekiel 9:4). So for Charlie Kirk there is on scripture that comes to mind: 1 Peter 4:16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. We suffer because of this tragedy, and yet we glorify God on Charlie behalf. He glorified God in his life and we will glorify God as well. My love goes out to his family as well as my prayers. There are now many more that knows who Charlie Kirk was then when he was alive. We the people will never forget!! I cry but God knows what He is doing. Praise He The Lord.
My family has been mourning for Charlie’s death. We are praying for Erika and their children for God’s blessing, grace and protection. We followed have him for several years and his ministry blessed us. We live in Grand Rapids, Michigan and our children’s families live in 4 states and Charlie has had a positive effect on all of us. We will continue to pray for his family and his ministry. In addition, our pastor, Sam Reijfkogel delivered a clear message on what we should be doing in our world today. He started by saying that when he was told by God to do this series, he had no idea what was going to happen last Wendsday.

It was truly devastating to hear Charlie’s passing. My family cried for days, and we are grieving with you. I am planning to fly into Phoenix on Saturday. I am wondering if there is a bus leaving from the Dream City Church (Glendale) to State Farm Stadium, or what time do you recommend that I go line up? 5 AM?
GOD has you in His arms… We have you in our hearts.

I truly wish your church had a location in Yakima, Washington. If you know of a congregation here with a similar heart and convictions, would you be willing to recommend it? I would be so grateful.
It’s been years since I’ve been in church, and I’ve struggled to find a place where God’s Word is preached clearly and faithfully—without compromise or the pull to please the crowd. I’m longing to come back to a church that stands on Scripture with grace and courage.
