At Dream City Kids, we want to partner with parents so that your kids will develop a life-long relationship with Jesus. One of the ways we do this is through communication. Please take a moment to read the Sunday Recap below, so that you know what your child is learning at Dream City Kids.
Sunday Recap: This weeks Bible lesson is from Luke 19:1-10.
Power Verse: “Kind words are like honey – sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.” Proverbs 16:24
Main Point: I will be kind with my words!
Message Recap: We live in a world that seems to celebrate when people disagree sharply with others. Arguments, fights, and disagreements dominate the daily news cycle. People use their words to tear others down, speak in anger, and more. This is not how Christians are supposed to conduct themselves. We are to use our words to bring healing to others. We should always choose kind words when we speak.
In this lesson, we learned how to speak kind words. We need to T.H.I.N.K. before we speak and ask ourselves, “Is what I am about to say Kind?” If not, then we should choose not to say it.
Let’s Talk About It:
- What was the main character in our Bible Fact? (Zacchaeus)
- Do you think that it hard to speak kindly when we are upset? Why or why not?
- Who can you speak kindly to this week?
