Freedom comes from sharing life with others. If you would like to find freedom, connect with people through Community Groups.
You were meant for more. If you’re wondering what your purpose is, we can help you discover it.
The local church is the hope of the world. Jesus started the Church to influence the world. If you are ready to make a difference, join a team at Dream City Church.
Welcome to the Dream City Long Beach Campus! When you attend the Long Beach Campus, you’ll experience friendly and engaging greeters, exciting kids & youth environments, and compelling worship. Hilary and I invite you to join us as the Dream City Church community gathers and grows in relationship with God and one another. Whether you are here for the first time or are a regular part of our church family, we’re so excited to worship together.
A little bit about us…
Hilary and I have had the privilege of leading as the Campus Pastors at our Long Beach location for the past 14 years. In March 2011, we took over a dying church of 25 people. Our mission has stayed the same—to help people know God, live in freedom, discover their purpose, and make a difference.
We’ve seen God move powerfully over these last 14 years, and we believe the best is yet to come! There’s nothing better than seeing lives completely transformed by the grace and power of Jesus.
We hope you experience the joy and peace that comes with knowing the risen Christ, too.
Dream City Church is a community of people united in our common mission to gather as God’s people, grow in understanding of God’s Word and grace, and reach out to serve others in Jesus’ name.
Angel and I, invite you to join us as the Dream City Church community gathers and grows in relationship with God and one another. Everyone is welcome. If there is a way we can be helpful to you and/or your family, please let us know. We are here for you and look forward to the opportunity to be of service.
We believe that God is the Creator of everything and that He exists eternally in three Persons.
Deuteronomy 6:4 • Isaiah 64:8 • Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19 • John 16:7-15 • Hebrews 1:2-3
We believe that sin has kept us from knowing God and worshipping Him but that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin.
John 3:16 • Acts 2:22-39 • Romans 3:21-24
We believe the Bible to be God’s Word, a true and fully accurate account of God’s love for us. Its purpose is to teach us how to have a relationship with Him, worship Him, and bring Him glory.
Psalm 19:7-10 • 2 Timothy 3:15-17 • 2 Peter 1:19-21
We believe that salvation is God’s gift to us. It is available to anyone who confesses the Lord Jesus with their mouth and believes that God has raised Him from death to life.
John 5:24 • Romans 10:9-10 • Ephesians 2:8-9
We believe that Jesus established His body on earth in the church and that the church is a community that exists for the purpose of declaring the gospel and glory of Jesus throughout the world.
1 Corinthians 12:12-31 • Colossians 1:18-20 • 1 Peter 2:9
We believe the church is a family and that every believer should be identified with a local body of believers for the purpose of mutual encouragement, spiritual growth, and accountability.
Ephesians 4:11-16 • Colossians 3:12-25 • Hebrews 10:24-25
We believe Water Baptism is a declaration to others that a person has believed on Jesus Christ for salvation. Baptism by immersion in water represents the person being crucified, buried, and resurrected with Jesus, and a testimony of the cleansing power of God and our faith into new life with Him.
We believe the baptism of Holy Spirit is available to all believers. It is separate from salvation. Holy Spirit brings power to the believer to be effective witnesses for Jesus, as well as He blesses us with spiritual gifts for the encouragement of others, and empowers us to yield the fruit of the Spirit.
We believe Communion is intended for Jesus’ followers, by which they acknowledge and remember His work on the cross and our remembrance of Him.
Dream City Church extends an “open” Communion table, meaning the invitation to receive Communion during a service is open to any follower of Christ, regardless of church membership. People who have accepted His forgiveness and surrendered their lives to Him are invited to share the Communion table at Dream City Church.
We believe that God cares about every need of every person and that the church, as Christ’s body, is to show his love and care for every person. Every member of the church is called to be a minister of the gospel through acts of loving service and a willingness to share the truth of the gospel with everyone.
Dream City Church progressively lives out its mission to reveal Christ to the world by loving people, cultivating community, and inspiring hope. Some of the ways we demonstrate God’s love is through outreach. We help to rescue people through the Dream Center and Streetlight USA; we help to clothe people through Thrift to Thrive; and we help to feed people through Mom’s Pantry.
John 13:34-35 • 1 Peter 3:15 • 1 Peter 4:8
We believe that God wants to transform, heal, and provide for us, so that we can live blessed and victorious lives that will impact and help others.
We believe our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again just as He promised.
Isaiah 49:6 • Matthew 28:18-20 • Romans 10:13-15 • 1 Timothy 2:3-4
Child Dedication is a ceremony in which Christian parents (and sometimes entire families) stand before the church and make a commitment to raise their child(ren) according to the Word of God. Christian parents who dedicate a child(ren) are making a promise to the Lord to do everything within their power to raise the child(ren) in a godly way until he/she/they can make a decision for themselves (1 Samuel 1:11, Luke 2:22).
God established monogamous marriage between a male and female as the foundation of the family, and as an example of the spiritual marriage with Jesus as the groom, and His church as His bride. Sexuality should only be expressed in the context of that marriage covenant. (Genesis 2:24; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; 1 Timothy 1:9-11).
