DREAMarriage
An excellent pre-marital program that will be offered at all our campuses, implementing SYMBIS, (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts), which was created by Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott. It’s an exciting and interactive program that provides couples with a personalized assessment and other tools to prepare them for lifelong love. Research shows that couples who complete a premarital program reduce their risk of divorce 31 percent. The DREAMarriage ministry will serve the engaged and soon-to-be married couples at our church, as well as those in our community.
Weekly Discipleship
Weekly discipleship classes offer married couples the opportunity to discover, review and interact with God’s truths as it relates to different facets of their marriage. Plus, these classes help couples establish relationships with one another, building a supportive community in the process. We have identified six core areas of focus: marriage enrichment, communication, conflict resolution, in laws and extended family relationships, personal growth, careers and finance. Participants will receive handouts at each class to build their own DREAMarriage Manual of resources.
Marriage Mentors
Dream City Church has incredibly strong marriages. And we’re excited that many of these couples are stepping up to mentor other couples and help them make their marriages great. It’s no secret that every couple will encounter crisis, and the goal of our mentors is to help you navigate yours and find deeper intimacy on the other side, as well as just share insight and offer support.
Research shows that 84 percent of young married couples want a marriage mentor, and those who have one report being healthier and happier in their marriages. Each of our volunteer mentor couples are certified through the Marriage Mentor Academy.
Parenting
The Parenting Ministry at Dream City Church supports our families by equipping parents to raise children who love God and serve others. Through conferences and classes, parents will find support and encouragement to implement a heart-based, biblical parenting approach. The Parenting Ministry just finished their spring event at the Dream City Church Marriage and Family Conference with keynote speaker, Dr. Kevin Lehman.
Single Moms
We build friendships, share insight, and address specific challenges single moms face today. Whether it’s parenting, health and wellness, or finances, all our topics are designed exclusively for single moms. There is no cost for materials.
