Arianna Gaos thought she had her future perfectly mapped out. She had been accepted to her dream college across the country, visited the beautiful campus, made great friends, and was beyond excited to begin this next chapter. Nothing could change her mind—at least, that’s what she believed.
Then God stepped in.
During her senior year of high school, Arianna attended Dream Conference at Dream City Church, where she fell in love with the community. Still, she was set on her plans. SEU-Arizona wasn’t on her radar—until her mother felt a strong conviction. Without telling Arianna, she scheduled a tour of the SEU-Arizona campus. The night before, she finally broke the news: “Tomorrow, we’re driving to Phoenix. Just come and see.”
Arianna was frustrated. She had no interest in visiting a school she never intended to attend. But she went anyway.
And in that moment, God began working on her heart.
As she walked the campus, met the staff, and saw the heart behind SEU-Arizona, something shifted. The confidence she had in her plans began to waver, and the quiet whisper of the Holy Spirit grew undeniable. By the end of the tour, she knew. God was calling her to lay down the future she had envisioned and step into something unknown, but far greater.
It wasn’t easy. Saying yes to SEU-Arizona meant giving up scholarships, friendships, and the dream school she had once been so sure about. But obedience always requires sacrifice—and it also brings immeasurable reward.
Today, Arianna is a senior worship student, leading others in powerful moments of worship, shaping the next generation, and using her gifts to serve the Church. And in a full-circle moment, she even met her husband here, building a future she never could have scripted for herself.
Arianna’s story is a reminder that when we surrender our plans to God, He writes something more beautiful than we ever could. He takes what we think is best and leads us to something greater. She is just one of the many students being equipped at SEU-Arizona to carry the Gospel, build the Church, and impact the world.
This is why we invest in the next generation.
At SEU-Arizona, students are trained not just academically, but spiritually and practically—to step into leadership, serve the Church, and advance the Kingdom of God. However, the cost of education can be a barrier for many young people who feel called to ministry and leadership. Each student’s tuition is $10,000 per year, and we are seeking 40 partners to help sponsor a student who could be the next world changer.
If you feel led to invest in the future of the Church, we invite you to partner with us. Your generosity could make it possible for the next Arianna to step into God’s calling on their life.
